Though Our Lives May Be Though our lives may be in a minor key, every note will make the song whole; then may what we sing and the hope we bring lead to harmony in our souls. If our words fall short or we lack support, though deterred, we will not despair; but instead let's face our ordeals with grace and in difficult times, forbear. If the path is dim and the chances slim do we seek an easier road? Yet the narrow gate yields a nobler state, when we help by sharing the load. Is our only aim to assign the blame but ignore the role that we play? Let us reconcile and endure our trials as we follow what Christ would say. We are not alone; may our trust be known in the One who shows us the way. We can plant a seed and our spirits feed so compassion springs forth each day. For the day will come when we're set free from wintry viewpoints, frozen in snow; but together we, in community, can build gardens where all will grow. At the end of day what is left to say that has not been all heard before? Yet there's work to do, seeing kindness through in a world that always needs more. For the truth is clear and the kingdom near; it is found engraved on our hearts to remind us of God's appeal to love and the caring that faith imparts. Text: Allan Baer, ©2021 290 Indian Rd.
